Houses
Power Street
THE BRIEF
Located in Hawthorn, this distinctive design challenges the status quo from a building perspective. The roof line comprises of overlapping layers, separated by glass and without gutters. Water flows down to each layer when it rains, mimicking a beautiful waterfall which can be observed from inside the home. The pool design was intrinsic in the house slab with the water lapping outside the footprint.
There are too many things to mention about this house, from the huge 4.5m2 hung sliding door, hidden corridors, to the old pool repurposed into a water tank. Needless to say, the result is a one of a kind home that is truly striking.
